Mya Pesek, a sophomore on the Canby/Minneota cross country team, qualified for her fourth straight state meet after finishing eighth among 125 runners at the Section 3A meet last week in Madison.

Jaylyn Coequyt notched 12 kills and Eden Meagher had 10 as Minneota regrouped after a slow start and swept Canby 30-28, 25-14, 25-16 in the Section 3A-North semifinals Tuesday at SMSU in Marshall.<

It’s much more memorable for someone to remember a home run than a fielding gem, a long touchdown pass than a key block, or a thundering kill in volleyball than a diving dig to keep a play alive.
