The celebration began on the field after the Minneota Vikings had officially defeated the Wabasso Rabbits for the Class A State Championship.
The Southwest District announced its postseason awards and Sub-District teams for football Postseason Awards and Minneota athletes and coaches figured prominently in the awards.
Minnesota State Academic Awards were handed out this week. Named to the Minnesota Class A All-Academic team was Alex Pohlen of Minneota.
