The Kindergarten students at St. Edward School have been celebrating the last few days of school with a different letter of the alphabet for each remaining day. For “I” day, the students made and enjoyed their own ice cream!  The students are: (left to right) Simon Gruenes, Brilee Anderson, Elise Hennen, Sydney Hennen and Bryce Gorecki.

Grades 1 & 2: Mrs. Jackie Skillings

Congratulations to the Second Graders on receiving the Sacrament of First Communion. Kids have been studying national and state symbols in social studies. The first graders are learning more subtractions facts, while the second graders are concentrating on multiplying by 3’s in math.

Grade 3: Mrs. Susan Johnson

The third graders have taken the science and reading NWEA tests this week. In social studies, they are studying the continents, states and capitals. In science class, the students learned how the earth, moon and sun interact with each other. They learned that a shooting star isn’t really a star, it is a meteor.

Grade 4: Mrs. Robin Traen

In Social Studies, the 3rd and 4th graders have been learning about different Indian Groups. In Religion, we are learning about the Corporal Works of Mercy and the spiritual Works of Mercy. In Fourth Grade Math, we are learning about area of squares and rectangles, and irregular shapes.
