Schwan's invests in United Way

To show their continued support for the United Way of Southwest Minnesota, Schwan’s Company subsidiary employees in Marshall, Minnesota recently helped raise more than $151,000.

The total donation of $151,101.24 included employee donations totaling more than $70,000, a Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation dollar-for-dollar match and an additional gift from Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation.

By donating the extra funds, Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation helps to offset the operating costs of United Way allowing more of the employees’ direct gifts and payroll deductions to go to support the needed services in the community.

Donations will go toward benefitting local-charitable organizations that support people and resources focused on improving health, education, financial stability, hunger and safety & well-being in southwest Minnesota.

Schwan’s Corporate Giving Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization focused on efforts to end hunger, promote youth education and leadership development, and provide essential services that advance the health of the communities where Schwan’s Company employees live and work.

The foundation is headquartered in Marshall, Minnesota. The United Way of Southwest Minnesota is proud to have Schwan’s subsidiary employees and the Foundation among its supporters.

To continue supporting the vital programs serving the community, the United Way of Southwest Minnesota has set the 2018 campaign goal at $600,000.00; currently the campaign has contributions totaling $485,824.77 at 81% of the campaign goal.
