Vikings sweep Wabasso on road

After falling to a strong Mayer Lutheran team in the season opener on Saturday, it didn't take Minneota long to get back to winning. On Tuesday night, the Vikings swept Wabasso 25-10, 25-14, 25-6.
“I thought we served really well," said coach Hayley Fruin. "McKenna went on a great run and ended with eight aces."
The Vikings amassed 15 ace serves in all, with Ireland Stassen finishing with four.
Natalee Rolbiecki dominated at the net with 18 kills, while Stassen had six and Abby Frie five.
"It was nice to see us have a fairly balanced offense after Natalee's 18 kills," Fruin remarked. "It makes us much harder to defend."
Stassen also had 16 assists, while Yost had 13 assists and a team-high 11 digs.
"We just need to keep playing at our level of play each and every night and focus on us and what we can do to get better," Fruin said.
Minneota hosts KMS on Tuesday night for its home opener.
