It was a big meet in Adrian on Tuesday and the bigger teams figured heavily, with Marshall and Worthington winning the girls and boys meets.
Minneota’s top runner Grace Drietz was fourth in the girls race with Blake Stokes finishing 14th as Canby-Minneota’s top runner in the boys’ race.
Drietz was just 50 seconds behind the meet winner Morgan Gehl of Murray County Central/Fulda.
The C-M girls finished in fourth place and the boys in sixth place.
On the positive side, former junior high runner Colton Duis has been moving up for the boys’ squad and Tuesday he was the second Canby-Minneota runner, finishing in 27th place overall.
