Myhre records ace at Countryside

Tom Myhre took aim with his 3-wood on the par-3, 160-yard No. 6 hole at Countryside Golf Club on Friday and felt his tee shot was over the green.
Playing partner Chuck Dalager informed him otherwise.
"I think it went in the hole," Myhre recalls Dalager telling him.
"I said 'Nah'. I thought I hit it too hard because I saw it take a big bounce and I just turned away and didn't see it go in," Myhre said.
As the two walked up to the green, the ball Myhre hit was nestled in the cup.
"I just shook my head," Myhre said. "We saw the divot where it landed about 15 or 20 feet from the pin. It must have bounced and just dribbled into the cup."
This was the first time Myhre had played a round of golf with Dalager.
"We have coffee together at The Roundup and we've talked about going golfing together sometime," Myhre said. "Chuck called me up the day before and asked if I wanted to play."
This was just the second time Myhre had played a round of golf at Countryside this summer.
"I was in an accident and haven't played for three summers," Myhre told. "We were on vacation this summer and I played a round in Wyoming and a round in Texas. I thought I played pretty well so I decided to play when I got back home."
Myhre bought drinks for those in the Countryside clubhouse, as is customary when someone gets a hole-in-one, and he treated Dalager to lunch.
Myhre is the second golfer to record an ace this summer at Countryside. Cole Sanow shot a hole-in-one three weeks before.
