Mudhens turn back Appleton, 15-0

Danny Hennen and two relievers combined on a three-hitter and Minneota had 16 hits and scored in five of the seven runs before invoking the 10-run rule as the Mudhens trounced the Appleton Aces 15-0 Sunday.
This marks the final regular season game. The Mudhens will receive a first-round bye for the playoffs and will then play their first game on Sunday, July 22. The opponent was unavailable when the Mascot went to press.
Austin DeVlaeminck, Austin Buysse and Danny Hennen all had three hits for the Mudhens, who also issued five walks and had two batters hit by a pitch. Tyson Sonnenburg and AJ Myhre had two hits each. Sonnenburg reached base five times in all, including two walks and a hit by a pitch, scoring all five times. Myhre drove in three runs, while Hennen and Ben Skorczewski had two RBI apiece.
Danny Hennen started on the mound and pitched four scoreless innings. Ryan Dalager then entered and pitched two innings. Jacob Hennen finished the final innings.
