Minneota girls ranked No. 1 in Section 3A North

Minneota, with a 20-4 record, earned the No. 1 ranking in the Section 3A North pairings.

Southwest Minnesota Christian was ranked No. 1 in the Section 3A South pairings.

The tournament opens Thursday, Feb. 22 with the "play-in" games. In the north, that includes Lakeview (8) vs. Hendricks (9) at Cottonwood to play the top-seeded Vikings.

The other game is Russell-Tyler-Ruthton (7) playing Dawson-Boyd (10) at Tyler. The winner plays No. 2 Lac qui Parle Valley. Both are 7 p.m. games.

In the south, No. 8 Fulda will host Westbrook-Walnut Grove (9) to play No. 1 Southwest Minnesota Christian.

And No. 7 Ellsworth hosts Heron Lake-Okabena (10). The winner plays No. 2 Hills-Beaver Creek.
