Mask Enforcement Requirements
The State of Minnesota, through Executive Order 20-81 and the Minnesota Department of Health COVID-19 Sports Practices and Games Guidelines for Youth and Adults, requires masks/face coverings be worn by all persons, including during competition in basketball, dance and hockey. The Minnesota State High School League requires a consistent and collaborating effort between students, officials, coaches, and school/game administrators to practice and enforce proper masking.
Each member school, through its administrators and coaches, is responsible for following all requirements. Officials are expected to assist in reinforcing proper mask use. Proper protocols and wearing of masks/face coverings must be taught, expected and enforced in practice and competition.
Verified non-compliance may result in a loss of eligibility to play, coach or officiate.
