Little resistance as Vikings roll to fourth win

Minneota is taking the path of least resistance, so far.

The girls rolled up their fourth straight win, 64-25 over the Lakeview Lakers as they kept their No. 1 standing in the state rankings intact.

After a somewhat sluggish start, the Vikings picked up the pace and rolled to a 35-12 halftime lead.

It was obvious this game belonged to Lydia Sussner. She scored 14 points in the first half, and ended 22 on the night. They stopped the action to honor her for recording her 1,000th career rebound.

The Minneota rebounding machine didn't get a lot of action the second half or she may have added to both totals. She's already over 1,000 points scoring.

The only other Viking in double figures was Morgan Hennen, who hit five of six free throws. Minneota hit just two three-pointers by Morgan Kockelman and Lizzy Gillingham.

Abby Hennen ended with eight points and Kockelman and Gillingham had seven each.
