HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL
Ella Johnson unleashed 16 kills and an ace, and Abby Rolbiecki had three aces as Minneota swept Tracy-Milroy-Balaton 25-9, 25-21, 25-15 Thursday night in Tracy.
The win improved the Vikings to 10-0 in the Camden Conference and 23-3 overall.
Nevaeh Hennen and Faith Myhre did a nice job spreading the sets around as evidenced by their 32 and 13 assists, respectively.
Kenadi Arndt finished with nine kills and three ace blocks. Elivia Faris also had nine kills to go along with an ace block. Emma Bottelberghe was credited with six kills and Eden Meagher had five.
"I was happy to see us have a very balanced attack in our TMB match," said Minneota coach Hayley Fruin. "I thought all five of my offensive kids did a great job of taking smart and aggressive shots. Their shot charts were all over, making it hard to defend."
Lyzah Sussner amassed 12 digs, while Rolbiecki and Grace Hennen had five each.
"Our back row has really been playing well," said Fruin. "Passing and serving will always be our main focus points in practice. It’s been great to see us play some consistent volleyball lately and not start out slow, but come out ready to go."

Brooke DeSmet served seven of Minneota's 14 aces as the Vikings topped Ortonville 25-6, 25-6, 25-11.
The Vikings (9-0 in conference, 22-3 overall) also got three aces each from Grace Hennen and Nevaeh Hennen, and one from Dakoda Hennen.
Elivia Faris pounded down 10 kills and had two ace blocks, while Ella Johnson added eight and Kenadi Arndt five. Lyzah Sussner led with nine digs. Faith Myhre chalked up 20 assists and Nevaeh Hennen had 11.
