Minneota continued to knock over conference opponents, this time securing a win over Canby on Thursday night.
After dropping the opening set, Minneota regrouped and tumbled the neighboring Lancers 22-25, 25-15, 25-17, 25-10.
"We started out set one letting our excitement and nerves control how we played," said Minneota coach Hayley Fruin. "We were way ahead of the ball on our approach and couldn't get good swings, and we were so early on our block we couldn't get solid touches. We just needed to settle down, have patience and play our style and tempo of volleyball."
After the first set, Minneota (16-2) righted the ship and began playing at a higher level.
"We played with energy after the first set, but we were able to still keep control and play loose," Fruin noted. "We passed a lot better the last three sets which put us in system and created holes in their block for our offense to swing. Our hitters played really smart volleyball while being aware of what the block and defense was giving them."
The road victory improved the Vikings to 6-0 in the Camden Conference and 16-2 overall.
Elivia Faris again led a balanced Viking offensive attack with 17 kills. Ella Johnson finished with 10 kills, Kenadi Arndt nine, Emma Bottelberghe eight, and Eden Meagher four.

Nevaeh Hennen was credited with 33 assists. Faith Myhre delivered 10 additional assists.
Grace Hennen dropped in four aces from 19 errorless serves. Lyzah Sussner had two aces from 26 serves without error.
"We have worked so much on serving and will only continue to," Fruin said. "It was nice to see a few of our kids get some aces and get them out of system being aggressive from the service line."
Sussner led the way defensively with 22 digs. Dakoda Hennen had 11 digs and Abby Rolbiecki 10.
Arndt posed a threat at the net as evidenced by four ace blocks.

Elivia Faris recorded 16 kills and Dakoda Hennen and Abby Rolbiecki had three aces apiece as the Vikings swept Central Minnesota Christian 25-17, 25-15, 25-18 on Tuesday in Minneota.
The Vikings (5-0 in the Camden Conference, 15-2 overall) have been working on more aggressive serving as evidenced by 10 total aces in 73 attempts. Lyzah Sussner, Nevaeh Hennen, Ella Johnson and Faith Myhre had one ace each.
Nevaeh Hennen notched 19 assists and Myhre added 14 as the two setters distributed the ball to the Viking attackers.
Johnson added eight kills and two ace blocks, while Kenadi Arndt had four kills and two blocks. Eden Meagher had four kills and Emma Bottelberghe three.
Lyzah Sussner paced the Vikings with 15 digs. Nevaeh Hennen had nine digs.
