C/M boys, girls both first in opener

The Canby/Minneota boys and girls cross country teams both placed first in the Lakeview meet on Monday.
All five C/M boys' runners finished in the top nine, while all five C/M girls placed in the top 13.
Kolton Duis finished first in the boys' race in a time of 17:51. Zach Ourada was second in 18:02, Blake Giese was sixth in 19:34, Blake Stoks was eighth in 20:08, and Colton Ruether was ninth in 20:14.
The C/M boys finished on top with 26 points. Redwood Valley was second with 34 points, Central Minnesota Christian third with 74, and Russell-Tyler-Ruthton fourth with 104.
Grace Drietz of C/M was first in the girls' race in a time of 20:06. Braelyn Merritt was second in 20:55, Claire Stoks third in 21:10, Sadie Vlaminck seventh in 23:52 and Hannah Fadness 13th in 25:51.
The C/M girls finished first with 26 points, followed by Redwood Valley with 39, CMCS with 68, RTR with 112, and Tracy-Milroy-Balaton with 117.
