Nolan Boerboom drove toward the basket again Lakeview's Aaron Loe.

Boerboom 3's lead Vikings over Lakers

Swish ... swish ... swish!

Just like that, Nolan Boerboom made the net move on three long three-points and Minneota dashed off to an 88-40 win over Lakeview Monday night.

Boerboom would end with 24 points.

But it was Thomas Hennen who brought the crowd to its feet when he stole the ball and slammed it home during a 20-point effort, with 18 in the second half.

Minneota suffered with fouls the first half with Logan Sussner and Jacob Hennen with three each and Thomas Hennen with two.

So Coach Dave Busselman went to his bench. "That second bunch gave us quality minutes and build the lead a little bit," the coach said.

Alex Saltzer, Riley Buysse, Mitchell Rost, Grady Moorse and Jacob Citterman all played a valuable roll as they played most of the last nine minutes of the first half.

"That second bunch played much better tonight," said Coach Busselman.

After notching their third win of the season, all easy victories, the Viking Coach said, "We haven't run an offense yet."

Shooting like that of Boerboom and Thomas Hennen and the Vikings vigorious defensive pressure has created a run-and-gun show that hasn't called for a "set-up" offense.

In the second halfk "We showed Thomas (Hennen) some creative ways to get the ball," and "He took over."

Hennen put on a second half show that ended with his powerful dunk.

The coach called Boerboom, "A matchup nightmare." He explained, "Everyone is watching Thomas and Jacob Hennen, so Nolan has the opportunity to get open."

Sussner, despite sitting alot, had 14 points and 10 rebounds. Saltzer added nine points and so did Jacob Hennen. Buysse added five and Coach Busselman credited point guard Jared Josephson with running the offense. "It's hard to take him off the floor. He doesn't look at the scorebook, he just does his job," the coach said.
