Marion M. Johnson was born on March 11, 1934 in Hancock, MN the daughter of Gust and Louise (Messner) Mohrman the 13th of 14 children. Marion attended rural school and was a graduate of the Appleton High School in Appleton, MN. She was then employed at Carol's Cleaners in Marshall, MN until her marriage to Gerald Johnson on November 20, 1955. After their marriage they farmed near Taunton and Arco before moving to the family farm near Minneota, MN. The couple was blessed with five children. She dedicated her time to raising the children. Marion could often be found working alongside Jerry and later the kids on the farm. She was the heart of the home, and always kept a home that was clean and welcoming for anyone who came for a visit. Her children can fondly remember the smell and taste of fresh baked bread and other treats when they came home from school.

Marion’s relationship with her Lord and Savior was paramount. Glimpses of her praying, on her knees by the bedside will be forever imprinted in our memories. She attended Hemnes Lutheran Church in Minneota, where she was actively involved in Ladies Aid, was the Sunday school superintendent and led various bible studies. She later attended Calvary Baptist Church and Living Word Lutheran Church, both in Marshall. Marion had a love for flowers and always arranged them for church on Sunday in the summer and supplied them to others at the Farmer’s Market. She cherished her family and friends and always looked forward to the time spent with them, which often times, included a game of cards, which she frequently won.

Her family takes great comfort and assurance in knowing she is with her Lord in Heaven.
