Relay time doesn't quite get it done

Jared Josephson was competing in his third state track meet — and fourth state event, having run in the cross country state meet last year.

In his only event — Josephson and his teammate gave it their all in the 4x200-meter relay, but came up short in 11th place — two spots short of qualifying for the finals.

The team was actually third in the Section 3A meet, but qualified by time for the state.

Josephson was obviously disappointed when he reported, "We finished oin 11th place."

Cole VanOverbeke, also of Minneota, tookt he lead and handed off to Jaden Kindopp. He gave the baton to Josephson, who relayed it to Carter Wente to finish up.

But the couldn't make up enough time to qualify for the finals.
