St. Edward School Happenings
St. Edward’s Catholic School held a Veteran’s Day Program on Monday, November 12. We were honored to be joined by our local veterans to commemorate this day. Chassidy DeRoode, retired Air Force, was our guest speaker. We would like to thank Mrs. DeRoode and all veterans for their service and sacrifice for our country.
Mrs. Mary Ann Horner
Each year the 8th grade students are partnered with an elderly member of our parish. This person is called their Special Friend. The 8th graders have the opportunity to write notes, make gifts, and plan visits with their Special Friends. This week they had their very first visits. When the students returned from their visits they were all excited to share about how these visits went and about how good it felt spending time with their Special Friends. They are already planning their next visits for Christmas.
