Thomas Hennen repaired damage with spectacular TD's

Minneota looked like wagon with its wheels coming off in the first quarter Friday against BOLD.

On their opening drive, a pitch from quarterback Alex Pohlen to Cole Sanow went awry and BOLD's Lucas Ryan fell on it at the Viking 45 yard line.

Nine plays later Jack Hanson laid a block to allow Austin Einerson to score on a four-yard run and the Warriors had a 6-0 lead. They missed the extra point.

Later in the first quarter a Pohlen pass went off a inneota receiver, popped into the air and was picked off by the Warriors Deven Gluesing.

And the final miscue by the Vikings was a punt that hit off the heel of Thomas Hennen and was receovered by BOLD's Gavin Voiska.

Nine plays later the Warriors' Einerson ran 10 yards into the end zone and quarterback Jordan Sagdahl passed to Einerson for a 14-0 lead.

It was just 11:42 into the second quarter and three vital Viking mistakes put them into a 14-0 deficit.

But Thomas Hennen was about to make up for all that.

After Isaac Hennen scored, he caught a spectacular pass down the middle for a 27-yard touchdown pass to make it 14-12. A two-point conversion tried failed as Thomas Hennen tried to run the ball into the end zone.

The next time Minneota got the ball Cole Sanow broke loose for a 13-yard gain, a shuffle pass went to Isaac Hennen for 15 yards and he broke a pair of tackles to get to the BOLD 17 yard line.

On a third and 10 at the 20-yard line, quarterback Pohle threw a strike into the corner of the end zone. Thomas Hennen went up and grabbed it, kept his feet in bounds, then fell out of bounce, holding on to the ball.

It was a spectacular catch and give Minneota a 20-14 halftime margin.

For the game, Thomas Hennen caught five touchdown passes for 85 yards and scored two touchdowns.
