Big win marred by injury
There were so many highlights it would be hard to list them all in Minneota's 84-7 win over Lakeview Thursday night.
But the image that everyone went away with was the late third quarter injury that caused junior Landon Rolbiecki to be carted off the field by EMT's.
An apparent broken leg took nearly a half hour to attend to before the game could continue.
When it did, it was difficult for the Vikings to return to the action.
At the time, Minneota led 62-7 and Lakeview had just scored it's only touchdown. A stunned silence fell on the crowd and the players as they watched and prayed for Rolbiecki.
After the game, both teams gathered at the center of the field, in a circle, to pray for Rolbiecki.
Minneota's win was its seventh straight this year and 43rd out of the last 44 games.
They play next Wednesday at Lac qui Parle Valley.
