LBOH TO PRESENT 'NEWSIES'

Emma Lipinski, who recently graduated from Minneota High School and is well known for her outstanding singing voice, will put her talents on display at the Lake Benton Opera House for its upcoming musical "Newsies."
Newsies will be shown July 21, 22, 23, 27, 28, 29 & 30 at 7:30 p.m., as well as July 28, 29 & 30 at 2 p.m.
Al Riedel is directing the musical, Robyn Condelli is the choreographer, Justin Condelli is orchestra director, and Anna Lentz is the rehearsal accompanist.
Lipinski plays Davey in the musical and sings several songs. Tom Schmitt of Porter plays Joseph Pulitzer, the publisher of the New York World newspaper.
Newsies is based on the 1992 musical film of the same name, which was inspired by the real-life Newsboys strike of 1899 in New York City.
