STILL TIME TO REGISTER FOR LIGHT CONTEST

There is still time to register to enter the Christmas Lighting Contest, sponsored by the Mascot. It's free to enter and prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place.
There is also a possibility that we will add a fourth and fifth place prize package as local businesses continue to generously donate gifts for the contest.
The prize packages are worth $500 for first place, $250 for second place and $100 for third place. Photos of the winning homes will be shown in the Mascot.
Prizes include tool sets, wood-sided coaster wagon, home and holiday decor, gift cards, wood charging station, coffee maker, glass roasting dish, soup and mug gift set, crock pot, portable filled cooler, homemade pie, frozen turkey, framed print, doggie gift basket, apparel and more.
The registration form can be found in this issue, or simply email scott@thomabooks.com with your name, address and phone number to register.
The registration deadline is Dec. 14. The Mascot will then publish a map that indicates the homes that have registered for the contest in order for other families to view the lights.
Judges will view each of the registered homes/properties/farms in Dec. 19 and 20. Be sure to keep your lights on those two days between 5-9 p.m.
Winners will be announced on Dec. 23 and prize packages will be delivered after Christmas.
The contest is for Minneota, Ghent or Taunton city and rural homes, properties, barns or whatever else you want to decorate. Because many of the holiday events cancelled this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, this is a way to brighten the spirits of kids and adults.
