Seven medal at speech meet

In their second meet of the season, seven Minneota speech team members earned a medal for placing in the top six in their respective category on Saturday.
The meets this season are all performed virtually and then sent to judges via Google Conference.
Emma Lipinski was awarded second place in Great Speeches.
Earning third place awards were Joe Voit in Extemporaneous Speaking, Katie Walerius in Original Oratory, and Thomas Belaen in Storytelling.
Joey Clark placed fourth in Storytelling, while Cora Fischer was fifth in Great Speeches and Norah Fadness sixth in Discussion. It was the first meet of the season for Voit, Clark and Fadness.
There were just over 110 entries for the meet. Teams competing was not available.
Minneota competes again on Saturday.
