School District working on students’ ‘Mental Health’

Minneota Principal Jeremy Frie told the School Board Tuesday night the district is taking, “Mental Health” seriously.

“We’re working on Mental Health,” he said. A book called, “What Made Matty Run,” is being used in the district.

“We’re tackling the tough topics, like how to respond to sex messages and how they are inappropriate.”

“These are things kids are dealing with,” he said. Heart screens and echo-cardiograms will be given as tests for kids.

“We will offer it to parents. No charge to the school district,” Principal Frie said.
