MINNEOTA PUBLIC LIBRARY
It’s not too late to sign up for our Adult and Teen Reading Challenge. We're doing a Bingo card with suggestions that may help you extend your comfort zone in choosing books, or allow you to stick with old favorites. Either way, it will be fun, and prizes await those who turn in their Bingo Cards. Five books between now and Thanksgiving is doable!
I want to thank the anonymous person who dropped off a board game, unopened, into our return book drop box. I added a few games to the library a year ago and want to add more. Due to someone’s generosity, we now will have a football game, called “1st and Roll”, in our collection of games to check out.
A new book that was just added to our library collection is a non-fiction, juvenile, graphic novel titled “Hidden Systems: Water, Electricity, the Internet and the Secrets Behind the Systems We Use Every Day.” Even though it was written for younger folks, I think adults would enjoy it, too. I am looking forward to reading it and finding some answers to how things work … the things we take for granted and don’t even notice until something goes wrong with them. If you’re looking for an easy non-fiction book to fill out that spot on your BINGO card, this book would be a good choice.
Happy reading everyone.
