The Silver Spurs Saddle Club staged its first closed horse show on June 30, 1974, on the site which the 100-member club is in the process of purchasing from Bernard Moorse. The land which the club is acquiring is about three acres. The club will be staging its Open Horse Show at the Lyon County Fairgrounds on July 14 this year, and will hold it on the new site in Minneota next year.
