This ad for Finnegan's U-Save Food Store appeared in the Feb. 25, 1949 edition of the Mascot. Among some of the items on sale during the Grand Opening: 3 pounds of coffee, $1.15; 50 pounds of flour, $3.67; 1 pound package of marshmallows, 25 cents; 2 cans of Green Giant peas, 39 cents; large bottle of Heinz ketchup, 23 cents; Extra large box of Wheaties cereal, 21 cents; and 2 cans of Campbell's soup, 21 cents. Finnegan's store also advertised "We deliver."
