The Dero Chevrolet building, owned and operated by Lawrence Dero and his father, W.J. "Fritz" Dero, held its Grand Opening nearly 75 years ago on Aug. 28, 1948, with free pop and ice cream for anyone coming to check out the new showroom and garage.
