Eleven-year-old David Myrvik rode his bicycle to the end of the driveway to pick up his parents’ mail in this photo from late August in 1951. The Myrvik family lived five miles southwest of Minneota and David helped his father, Otto, drive tractor and take care of their herd of six cows.
