The former Schott Corporation located in Minneota held an Open House on Nov. 17, 1973 with free cookies, coffee and pop. The Schott Corporation began business here in April of 1951 as the Oscar Schott Company. The company was engaged in the design and manufacturing of custom-built transformers and related electro-magnetic components used in electrical and electronic equipment. It specialized in high reliability units for military, aerospace, computer and commercial applications.
