Minneota Area Memory

In this photo taken in 1972, Sigfrid Frost puts receipts into one of several mechanical courier cups that ran on wires from the sales floor to the office of the former Big Store. The device worked much like a slingshot; when the string was pulled, it released a spring that propelled the metal courier cup. The office area where Frost is standing can still be seen today as it is now the children's reading area of the Minneota Public Library.
