Mascot Open House today has special gift, offer
The Holiday Season is upon us and the Minneota Mascot is kicking off the festivities with an Open House Thursday, December 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Come and enjoy cider and goodies all day long — and a special gift will be given to each person who attends.
“This is my 10th Anniversary Year in Minneota and we’d like to see as many friends as possible to thank them for reading and supporting the Minneota Mascot,” said Publisher Byron Higgin.
We just received word that The Mascot will be awarded six more awards this year by the Minnesota Newspaper Association so we’ve got a lot to celebrate once again.
The awards themselves won’t be announced until Thursday, January, 24. In honor of this special year, The Mascot will offer special discounts to readers or new readers.
For those who take a subscription on Thursday, a special drawing will award up to 12 months extra on each subscription.
Some come into the office to take out a gift subscription or to renew your current subscription and you’ll get a chance to receive free months added to your subscription.
Treats at the Mascot are being made again this year by Barb Guttormsson, so they will be special, as always.
The Mascot holds the Open House in conjunction with an Open House at Bank of West next door, so take advantage of both events.
“It’s hard to believe I’ve been in Minneota 10 years already, but we began running The Mascot in July of 2008 — so time really flies when you’re having fun,” said Higgin.
Come and join us. We’d like to see all our friends during this special time of year.
NOTE: The Mascot will be closed after noon on Friday, December 21 so we can celebrate the holidays.
