Highway 19 project begins May 5

A two-year project to reconstruct Highway 19/College Drive in Marshall begins Monday, May 5, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
MnDOT, in partnership with the City of Marshall, is reconstructing 1.8 miles of Highway 19/College Drive from Marlene Street through the intersection of Bruce Street. The project includes replacing pavement, sanitary sewer and watermain; constructing a single-lane roundabout; updating sidewalks and pedestrian ramps to improve accessibility; and, making traffic control changes throughout the route to enhance safety for everyone.

Work will happen in stages to minimize travel impacts (see attached maps).
Beginning May 5, through traffic (travelers who are not visiting Marshall) will be detoured to County Road 7 and Highway 23.
In 2025, Highway 19/College Drive will be closed from Fairgrounds Road to Highway 68/Highway 59 to accommodate Stages 1-4.
