Four Minneota area kids are top fair winners

Of the 10 overall winners at the Lyon County Fair on Sunday, four of them were Minneota kids.

They included:

•Champion Dairy Goat: Brooke Moorse, daughter of Greg and Becky Moorse and a member of the Westerheim Flashing Stars. She has been in 4-H for eight years.

•Champion Sheep: Heidi Guttormsson, daughter of Eric and Ann Guttormsson, a 12-year member of the Westerheim Flashing Stars.

•Champion Beef: Kesmond Willert, son of Klint and April Willert. A Coon Creek Cheerful Workers member, he's been in 4-H for 13 years.

•Champion Dairy: Zack Fier of Porter, the son of Kevin and Mindy Fier. A member of the Nordland Top Notchers, he's beein in 4-H for three years.

•Champion Swine: Travis Engels, son of John and Karla Engels. He's a Westerheim Flashing Star and in 4-H for five years.

•Champion Goats: Colin Bossuyt of Cottonwood and son of Brad and Kris Bossuyt. He's a Swan Lake Skipper and in 4-H for 12 years.

•Champion Horse: Brooklyn Ludeman of Tracy, daughter of Ben and Stacey Ludeman. An Amiret Busy Bee, she has been in 4-H for 11 years.

•Champion Llama: Kaitlin Lingbeek, Marshall, daughter of Lee and Kelly Lingbeek. A Stanley Busy Beaver, she is a nine-year- 4-H member.

•Champion Rabbit: Adam Hicks, Tracy, son of Brian and Michelle Hicks. An Amiret Busy Bees, he's been in 4-H for seven years.

•Champion Poultry: Emily Lenz of Cottonwood. Parents are Mike and Shannon Lenz. A Swan Lake Skipper, she's been in 4-H for 10 years.
