Kids visit Fagen WWII Museum
The seventh and eighth grades from St. Ed’s took their long-awaited trip to Fagen Fighters WWII Museum last Friday.
After studying WWII earlier in the year, it was thought that a trip to Fagen’s would be a suitable follow-up to the in-class work on the archetypal conflict, especially since many of the students had not visited the museum before.
Besides the main attraction of the many restored and functional war planes and vehicles, Fagen Fighters is a well-stocked and informative store of WWII-era artifacts.
The meticulously constructed and detailed exhibits range from the Normandy beaches to radio operators to the Pacific theater and Doolittle’s Raid.
In addition to allowing the students and chaperones to explore the museum at their own pace, the staff of Fagen’s were very knowledgeable and created a memorable trip for the school group.
