Grabbing the Championship Large Animal Premier Showmawnship award at the Lyon County Fair was Rachel Vlaminck.

Four 4-Hers, three from the Minneota area were given Scholarships by the Lyon County Ribbon Auction Booster Committee.
The Lyon County Farm Family of the Year were Karen and Pat VanKuelen of Ghent. The family grows corn and soybeans and raises hogs.
The Ribbon Auction drew all the kids to the front stage at the fair on Sunday. Some of them smiled for the camera in front of the bench dedicated to Donnie Schuelke.
Every year, the Lyon County Fair has a Llama Costume Contest at the show arena.
This lady was all alone with the rides of the Lyon County Fair behind her as she negotiated through the fairgrounds.
Some people are totally oblivious to what's happening around them.
"I worked so hard, all summer," said Carolyn Hoffmann of Minneota.
If Donnie Schuelke was here today, he WOULD have been at the Lyon County Fair.
Before the rodeo got underway Thursday night at the Lyon County Fair in Marshall, there was the presentation of flags.
Part of the presentation was to honor service men of all branches.
