DONNA NUY

Mass of Christian Burial for Donna Nuy, 78, of Marshall, formerly of Minneota, took place on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota. Visitation was held Monday, Sept. 23 at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Minneota. Visitation continued on Tuesday at the Remembrance Center. Interment followed the service at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Minneota.
Donna Mae (Hoseck) Nuy was born on Aug. 30, 1946, in Hendricks, MN, to Bert and Verna (Nevins) Hoseck. She attended country school and graduated from Minneota High School. On Feb. 19, 1966, she was united in marriage to Phillip Nuy. The couple made their home and raised their family in Minneota.
Donna worked as a Dietary Aide at the Minneota Manor for many years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and gardening. Donna moved to Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in November, 2022.
Donna died on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, at the Avera Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall.
She is survived by her sons Greg (Cindy) Nuy of Canby and Richard Nuy (Gloria) of Ivanhoe; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings Sandy (Ed) DeVlaeminck of Hendricks, Sharon (Doug) VanOverbeke of Lake City and Jenny (Dave) Storlien of Minneota, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Phillip, and brother Allan Hoseck.
Horvath Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements.
