DENISE ANDERSON

The service commemorating the life of Denise Anderson, 63, of rural Taunton, took place on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Grace Life Church in Marshall. Visitation, including a Prayer Service, was held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Minneota. Visitation continued on Wednesday, one hour prior to the service at Grace Life Church.
Denise Marie Anderson, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at her family farm on April 9, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Born on April 25, 1962, in Marshall, MN, to parents James Sorenson and Janice Baier. Denise grew up in the Marshall community. She was a 1980 graduate of Marshall High School, and she went on to further her education at Minnesota West Community and Technical College in Canby, where she earned her associate degree in business management.
At the age of 16, Denise’s life changed forever when she met the love of her life, Rick Anderson, at the Blue Moon. The two became inseparable and were united in marriage on Aug. 2, 1980. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised their four children on their farm north of Taunton, sharing 45 years of marriage grounded in partnership and devotion.
Denise dedicated 27 years of her professional life to US Bank before retiring on Jan. 3, 2026. Denise took pride in her contributions and cherished the time spent with her colleagues, many of whom became dear friends.
Denise’s greatest joy was her family. She was a fixture at her grandchildren’s activities, always cheering them on with pride. Her favorite moments were spent camping with family and friends and taking trips to the Black Hills. She also found great peace in the simple beauty of watching Rick ride horses on the farm.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rick; her children; Justin Anderson, Jerry (Heather) Anderson, Jon (Kaylee) Anderson, and Caitlyn (Tavin) Sonnenburg; her parents James (Carol) Sorenson and Janice Baier.
She leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren: Jaelin, Autum, Piper, Dax, Elliott, Arya, Charlotte, Rex, Brexlee, ReynaLee, Dalleyia, Rasmus.
She is also survived by her mother-in-law Rose Anderson; her siblings Deb (Jeff) Spaulding, David (Renee) Sorenson, Nancy (Mark) Syltie, Shelley (Brian) Ailts, and Randy (Brenda) Anderson; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Denise was preceded in death by her father-in-law Dick Anderson.
