Taunton's 1949 Fourth of July parade drew a large crowd. A morning parade included fire trucks from Minneota and Taunton, several horses either with riders or pulling wagons, and several floats. The float in the foreground was entered by Beck Hardware and the trailing one was entered by Peavey Elevator.
