Before Minneota had a swimming pool in town, the flooded Yellow Medicine River that flows near the ball park was used as a swimming hole. Shown taking advantage of the heavy rainfall in late June of 1951 was Glenn Johnson, Marvin Schiller, August VanLoy, Donald Davidson and Gordon Nelson. Watching from the bridge was Lyle Hovland and Daniel Christenson.
