This is one of over a dozen telephone poles knocked down in the Minneota area by strong winds during a two-day blizzard on March 21-22, 1975. A total of 10 inches of snow fell during the weekend blizzard, halting all traffic and closing schools on Monday. Electricity was knocked out in some areas from Sunday evening until Monday and Tuesday. No mail came into the area for four days.
