"RISE AND FALL OF BERLIN WALL" to be presented by Frank Sachs April 15
Frank Sachs will present, “Rise and Fall of the Berlin Wall” at the Lyon County Museum, 301 West Lyon Street, Marshall at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15.
The Berlin Wall marked the official opening of the Cold War and was a physical barrier dividing Berlin into East and West sections to prevent citizens from escaping to the West, effectively symbolizing the Cold War division between communist and democratic powers; however, the fall of the wall in November of 1989 is widely considered a major turning point in the Cold War, signifying the decline of communist power in Eastern Europe and the eventual reunification of Germany.
Frank Sachs is a retired twin cities educator. He has taught in college, and public and private schools for 45 years. The last 37 were at the Blake School in Minneapolis. Frank retired from Blake in 2019 and now serves as Faculty Emeritus.

EASTER EGG/SCAVANGER HUNT April 17-19
Visit the Lyon County Museum April 17-19 to complete an Easter Egg and Bunny Scavenger Hunt. After counting the eggs and bunnies in the exhibit galleries, the completed scavenger hunt form can be turned in at the front desk for a treats.
Museum hours are Monday-Friday: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday: 12-4 p.m., and Sunday: Closed.
