Ameriprise Financial Volunteers Work to End Hunger at Food 4 Kids.

Ameriprise Financial advisors, employees recently came together to help families and individuals in Marshall.

Organized by Van der Hagen, Skogrand & Associates, 8 people volunteered at Food 4 Kids and packaging food stable bags for children to take home for the weekend.

This effort was focused on helping the 41 million people, including 13 million children and more than five million seniors, who struggle with hunger in the U.S.

The event was the second of two national days of service Ameriprise arranges each year in partnership with Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization.

On Nov. 9, more than 7,600 Ameriprise financial advisors, employees and clients spent the day participating in more than 400 volunteer events across the country.

Their mission is to provide support for families by supplying nutritious snacks to hungry children in cooperation with Marshall School’s staff and teachers. The Marshall Food 4 Kids program provides food support to students by sending home a bag of healthy snacks for the weekend.
