Fall is underway and the leaves are falling. Here are a few reminders about leaves and what you can and can not do with them:
(1) You can NOT burn leaves in town. We have a compost site in town for you to take your leaves and you can hire several people from town to pick up your leaves as well.
(2) You can NOT blow or rake leaves from your yard to your neighbor's yard. If the wind does it, then that is an act of God.
(3) You can NOT blow or rake leaves into the street and leave them there. If you blow or rake them into the street, you must pick them up the same day.
(4) If the wind blows leaves into your yard from your neighbor's yard, that is life. It is not a crime and not your neighbor's responsibility to go and get “his/her” leaves back.
(5) If the leaves are on the boulevard, it is NOT the city's responsibility to pick them up. The property owner of the residence/lot adjacent to the boulevard is responsible for picking up the leaves.
