While some communities are having “No Mow May” programs, Minneota still requires all properties to be mowed. We understand the idea behind this program, but for now, Minneota has not made any changes to our local ordinance allowing people not to mow their lawns in May. Also, when you do mow, you are not permitted to blow your grass clippings into the street. If that happens, you need to clean it up immediately. Grass clippings in the street end up in the storm sewer and can cause problems.
