Every year at this time we start registering kids for Summer Rec and every year it seems that people wait until the last minute to register. We strongly encourage you to register your little athlete ASAP. By signing up early you help the director of the Summer Rec program gauge how many teams there will be and how many staff members they need to hire. Those that wait too long miss out.
We are also looking for more lifeguards. This is a very important job but one that is difficult to fill. Without lifeguards, we can’t open the pool. We are required by law to have minimum staffing whenever the pool is open and in years past this has been a real problem. If you are looking for a fun job that is outdoors, then this is the job for you. Stop in at City Hall right away to get an application.
