Comicon: Where science fiction comes to life
MSP Comicon is an event held that brings comic book and science fiction lovers together to meet and greet each other.
It’s held at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Saint Paul. A Minneota family, the Nathan and Cherri Schmig family, spent the day Saturday at the event and met lots of other “characters” who joined them in celebrating comic books and science fiction characters.
This event showcases products like Anime, Manga culture, science fiction, antiquarian books, comics and ephemera, cosplay, comic books, comic related products and accessories etc. in the Consumer & Carnivals industry.
It was called 33,000 square feet of Extreme Comic Book Mayhem!
There were loads of dealers and Comic Book Creators from all across the US! Free Creator autographs were given out and some comic artist from the Midwest and around the country also were on hand.
Visitors got a chance to meet some of their favorite comic writers and artists. Also included were free kids activities.
Comicon drawing classes and craft projects of all kinds for the kids took place during the show.
There also were free game demonstrations for all ages. No, this is not your usual event — but it is a chance to see the characters you’ve been reading about and watching for a long time.
