Stassen named MVP, Panka is Coach of Year in Camden South
All five starters on the Minneota girls' basketball that advanced to the state tournament were honored by the Camden South Conference. Ireland Stassen was named the Most Valuable Player and head coach Al Panka was named the Coach of the Year.
Stassen, a senior, and juniors Grace Hennen, Kenadi Arndt and Faith Myhre were selected to the Camden South All-Conference team. Dakoda Hennen, a junior, was an Honorable Mention selection.
Max Rost, a junior from Minneota, was named to the Camden South All-Conference boys' basketball team. Ryan Dalager, also a junior, was named an Honorable Mention.
Class A state champion Russell-Tyler-Ruthton had four all-conference selection and an honorable mention, including Most Valuable Player Aiden Wichmann. RTR's Daren Gravley was named the Camden South Coach of the Year.
Brayson Boike of Dawson-Boyd was voted the Most Valuable Player in the Camden North. Dawson-Boyd's Cory Larson was named the Coach of the Year.
In the girls' basketball Camden North, Brielle Janssen of MACCRAY earned Most Valuable Player honors and Dylan Erickson of LQPV is the Coach of the Year.
