Santa’s Workshop local shopping day Dec. 9

The first annual Santa's Workshop Craft & Vendor Show will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Legion and VFW buildings in Minneota. This is an opportunity to help out local vendors and businesses.
The Craft & Vendor Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Initially, the event was to be held only at the Legion, but because so many vendors signed up, the VFW building will also be used.
Several businesses in town will also be open that day and hold specials.
Santa Claus will be making an appearance at the Minneota Public Library following Story Hour at 10:30 a.m. All children attending will receive a gift bag. There will also be a silent auction from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. to be used as a fundraiser for Friends of the Library.
The Minneota Senior Center will host a Soup and Sandwich free-will offering lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., serving chili, chicken soup, ham sandwich, crackers and bars.
This & That Recreated will be open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. with 25 percent off storewide.
J's Dream will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with 10 percent off all sales.
The Arched Door will offer 25 percent off gifts and Christmas items from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
City Hall Bar & Grill will offer Bloody Mary Bar and a burger special from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
One More Time Thrift Store will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be selling all Christmas items at 50 percent off.
