Bowling Alley

This 1925 photos shows the first bowling alley in Minneota and was located in the basement of the Dero Recreation Center and included one lane, a pool table and dartboard. Walt Swanson is standing next to the lane. The two men playing pool are Mike Buretta and Arnold Dahl, and the man seated is owner W.J. Dero. The boy next to the lane is W.J’s son, Lawrence Dero, who would later become the Minneota mayor.
